The base for the track was made from 2x4 lumber and 1/4 inch plywood purchased at Home Depot. It measures 6' x 12'. The table legs were constructed from 1"x1" galvanized steel tubing put together using my shop welder. The table sits about 28" above the floor. The 32" LED TV set is for displaying lap count and lap times using the SmartRace app on my iPhone which is mirrored over to the TV screen. The pit garage was built from a white corrugated plastic sheet from home depot with the exterior garage design pasted on from a printed image found on the internet. The control tower was also made from a design found on the internet and printed on photo paper.
The track layout was designed using the Ultimate Racer 3.0 software. The overall length of the track is 21.5 meters or about 70 feet.
The total cost of the track so far is about $2000.
