Home of Sundre area Amateur Radio Station VE6WMS
The station currently consists of an Icom 7300 for HF and an Icom 9700 for VHF/UHF. Antenna for HF is currently a K4KIO Hex beam up about 45 ft, two inverted vees in parallel up at about 40 ft, a 13 element yagi for 2 meters, a 19 element yagi for 70 cm and a 16 element yagi for 23 cm. I operate mostly FT8 on all the HF bands including WARC bands and occasionally try my hand at CW. I moved in early 2023 to an acreage east of Sundre AB. The acreage is ideal for ham radio operation as it is up on a hill and I have plans for additional antennas on the property.
